HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF HOPEWELL You can become a member of Hopewell once you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. Your faith can be known by coming forward at the end of a regular worship service and we will receive you in one of the following ways: 1. By your profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If you have begun a relationship with Jesus Christ, repented of sin and accepted Him as Lord, you can come and join the church. 2. By a letter of membership from another church of like faith and order. 3. By your statement of faith that you have been saved and baptized before. 4. By renewal of fellowship if you were once a member, but have been gone or out of God's will. You can rededicate your life and become a member once again. Baptism is given to new believers or those who have been saved but have not been baptized. Discipleship is further teaching in following Christ, so we will give you some materials and encourage you to come to Sunday School and worship. And finally, fellowship is important, so we encourage you to get connected by making new friends and getting more involved in the church. |
